⚠️ Boil Water Advisory
If you have experienced a water outage or loss of pressure at any point, we recommend that you boil your water before use until Keatchie Water System provides further notice.
This is not a mandatory order, but a precautionary advisory to help keep our members safe.
What is a Boil Water Advisory?
A boil water advisory is a public health recommendation issued when there is a possibility that the water supply may be contaminated. When water lines lose pressure due to leaks, breaks, or repairs, there is a chance that harmful bacteria or other contaminants can enter the system.
What Should You Do?
- Bring tap water to a rolling boil for at least one full minute before using it for:
- Drinking
- Cooking or food preparation
- Making ice
- Brushing teeth
- You may continue to use water for bathing and washing clothes as normal.
Why It Matters:
Boiling water kills bacteria and other microorganisms that may be present, reducing the risk of waterborne illnesses. This precaution helps ensure the safety of you and your family until the system has been tested and confirmed safe.
We will update this notice as soon as Keatchie Water System lifts the advisory. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
